And the trail continues....
...through some amazingly exotic terrain!!
We spotted this burial site from the trail.
We'd had quite a bit of rain recently, so the path was pretty muddy in some places, but someone had taken care of the path to make it passable!
This ocean view was worth the adventure!
Another prayer site, I believe.
We followed the trail until it dumped us out on a road. We searched around and couldn't tell or figure out where or if it continued. We decided it best to turn around and retrace our steps to where we'd seen the trail had split off. That trail led us back to the Nature Center! Absolutely NO idea how far we walked that day!!!
We came upon this sign while we were searching for the trail and can only assume we were located somewhere along what we can only assume was the map of the trail!!
I spotted these lovely flowers roadside as we were searching for the trail.
After finally making it back to Rodney's red Hoopty, we began the drive back home, but took a few more shots along the way.
This was a cool, albeit kinda spooky, looking house (we guessed) along the road.
A 'majestic' Shisa keeping watch.
FINALLY!!!!!! I caught a picture of a mail carrier!!!
I think this cute sign is maybe talking about watch for pedestrians?
After making it back home, we showered and napped, then went to a teppanyaki dinner, all the time wondering "will we make it off the island tomorrow??"
