I thought the name of the park was Kintai Bridge Park, but then saw this sign. I took a picture of it because there would be no way I would remember that name. In preparing to write this post, I looked it up only to learn that the name of the park is Kikkou Park! Regardless the name, the park was a gem!!
I'm 'assuming' this is Kikkawa Hiroie, the first lord of the Iwakuni Domain.
With the castle and bridge being built in the 1600s, I can't help but wonder how many of these statues and toriis have been in place since around that time!!
I'm always intrigued by the wash basins outside the worship places.
Now, its time to grab a gondola for a ride to the top!!
