And so began our rope trail adventure....
The landscape was truly fascinating!!
This rope took us under a long-ago fallen layer of rock that now has trees growing on top of it!
These roots were amazing!! It was like a natural hammock! Although, we didn't think it wise to try it out!
An altar, I believe, that was inside one of those tunnels.
A look back at where we'd just come from at one point...
We had been walking/climbing/trailing for awhile and came to this rope spot. Having no idea where we were headed, nor how we'd get back if lost, Rodney went down to go ahead and check it out before we decided to keep going or turn around and go back.
Standing where he'd gone down, this was my view looking down and my view looking up!
I finally got a little lonely and decided to head on down to see if I could catch up with him and found him camouflaged in the brush!
We decided to keep going!!
Then we spotted this arrow pointing the way from which we'd just come-- seemed we were following the trail backwards!!
Wherever the trail would lead,
we were committed, so we kept going......
Just hoping we wouldn't end up
kilometers away from our car!!!
