When on an adventure back in February,
(http://wanderingweavers.blogspot.com/2014/11/after-safely-escaping-from-dinosaurs-we.html)
we had stopped at the Kakinohana Spring, but didn't have enough daylight to visit the castle site. Being back in the same corner of the island, we kept watch for the signs and made a pitstop to check out the site.

And, SITE was exactly what it was!!
Rodney went up into the woods to see what he could see.
Turned out there was a bit to see!!
It seems all that remains is parts of a wall and former burial spot.
You can just make out parts of the old wall now quite overgrown.
There was also some eye-catching nature to see!!
The shell on this guy was almost four inches long!!
I chose to enjoy the nature along the roadside...
I never did make it to one of the other islands to see the fields during the Lily Festival, but I did get a decent taste of it right here!
Right along the roadside!!
Back on the road, once again, we found the sign we were looking for!!
And, there she is--
Tamagusuku-jo!!
Now, the REAL day's adventure can begin!!!!
(Although, we had NO idea just what an adventure it would turn out to be!!!)
