Upon our arrival, the torii was in it's iconic "floating" state!
It would have been fun to take the boat ride out to the torii!
After our mountain adventure, we were beginning to make our way to the ferry when we discovered this surprise---
---the tide had gone out and we could walk out to the gate!
You just can't realize how massive it is until you're standing right up beside it!
Such a fun surprise!
A worker threw corn out over the steps and the deer took off for it!
Before heading back to the ferry, we meandered back through the shopping area and tried a taste of Miyajima's delicacy--- broiled oysters!
