Out and About in Uruma

Some of our "in-between" adventures were right here in the area of our own little town/village of Uruma, like checking out the cool architecture of the City Hall building.

Then there was "CoCo" curry and the Diaso store, which is the company that provides many of the products for the 100 Yen stores.

It was hard to resist a stop at "Castle Coffee." We weren't able to get coffee that day, but enjoyed the visuals :)

We spent a relaxing afternoon at "essence" getting our toes all prettied up!

It was enjoyable having lunch with a friend at Cafe Pipineo....

.....where the Wasabi Pork was quite tasty!

This little piece of chocolate cake rounded out the meal nicely :)
I enjoyed a refreshing iced coffee, made perfect with one little cup of cream and one little cup of gum syrup.

Following lunch, we stopped in at the fish market!
(Yep, those are vending machines!)

You buy your fish and they gut and clean them for you.

One of our favorite local eateries is this little Ramen place. (And I do mean little--the bar has eleven chairs and the the "family room" in the back seats eight to ten :)

They serve the MOST delicious Miso Ramen!!

And for dessert, there's "Petite Fours"!!

Another fun stop is Makemon, aka: "MonkeyMan"!
Although, I have a friend who calls it "Rowe's" since it's much like a Lowe's, but the locals' tend to replace the Ls with Rs, so..........  ;-}

We were very impressed with some of the orchids on display at the Orchid Show!

All-in-all, our little Uruma has some fun stuff to see, do, and eat!!
