May, 2010 ~ We have a friend who is a docent at the Torrey Pines State Reserve. We finally matched our schedules and she took us on a hike around the gorgeous reserve. Just so happened, my cousin was in town and got to go with us!

Check out how the wind and water has eroded the sandstone in such magnificent designs.
The Torrey Pine tree behind us shows how the salty wind has windswept the trees. See how the tree trunk is on the left of the picture and the top of the tree is on the right?
