The weekend of August 22, 2013, we had the privilege of participating in a marriage enrichment retreat hosted by the Navy Chaplain Religious Enrichment Development Operation (CREDO).
Here are some highlights--
Upon our arrival, the first order of business was lunch, and with a view like this, who could refuse! Not to mention the chicken curry smelled really good..... and tasted good!
Heading to our first session...
The initial glimpse of the view from our floor. The humidity immediately steamed up my camera lens.
A few tidbits offered at our meals--
Simply remove a spoon from the stand for a serving of "cucumber and squid pickles style"
Individual jar servings of "olive assortments" each including it's own tiny pickle fork
It's so easy to say "one of each, please" when it comes to dessert when each serving is pretty much bite-size!
(And how cute are those little serving dishes?!)
Our second evening dinner was served couples style...
After dressing up for dinner, most of us decided it would be fun to dress down for our last evening session, taking advantage of the comfy complimentary-while-you're-there Japanese lounge wear (read: pajamas!). I'm also wearing the "free for you" flip-flops.
A fun final evening of the retreat
A lovely start to our last day
We were able to try passion fruit for the first time. Not too bad!
One final couple pic and lunch before loading the bus back to base.
Taco rice topped with a fried egg. Taco meat on a bed of rice, topped with lettuce, tomato, and cheese, drizzled with taco sauce. Not always is it topped off with a fried egg. Regardless, don't knock it til you try it!! On the side-- miso soup and onion rings. Iced jasmine tea to drink!
Up-coming: a look around the resort and our suite, and our outing to the elephant looking Manzamo Point....
