October, 2008 ~ We finally had the chance to do our first Navy dress up event---the Navy Birthday Ball!!

And we got to go to the Mizzou/Illini Arch Rival football game!!

As always it was good to be home!!

We have orders!!

This a real time post to let you know we will soon be starting our Navy Life Chapter 3: Okinawa, Japan!! We received orders this week! We will relocate in September and be there for two years. Keep track of us and our adventures right here :)

Cruise ~ FOX Studios: The rest of the movies....

This shows the other movies that were filmed here since TITANIC.

Along with all the movie memorabilia, the studio also houses a special effects demonstration area. This is an animatronic shark used in "Deep Blue Sea." It actually lifted Rodney off the ground!!

I got to demonstrate my talents on the Foley Stage! I was using plunger heads to be the horse in a movie clip.

Cruise ~ FOX Studios: TITANIC

Our bus ride took us to the FOX Xploration Studio. Since it was built specifically for the filming of "Titanic," it houses a very large museum of memorobilia and sets from the film. In addition to the pics here, we saw Rose's and Jack's staterooms, the green safe containing the 'Heart of the Ocean,' the ladies sunroom, etc.

Cruise ~ Ensenada/Rosarito

Well, the view pulling into Ensenda was "just a little" different from Cabo!!

But, still just as exciting with our day's adventures ahead!! We caught a bus and headed to Rosarito under the guidance of Mariana!

Our first stop in Rosarito was the FOX Xploration Studios which was built specifically for the filming of the movie, Titanic!! That will be a post (or two) all its own :) Our next stop was the Rosarito Beach Hotel for lunch and some shopping time. Here are a few pics of the gorgeous hotel!!

And our tasty lunch was made complete with entertainment!!
